  1. What utilities are included in the rent?
    Rent is $395 FW and $335 SS. This rate includes internet and cable fees. Residents will also pay a flat rate of $35 for gas and electricity every month.

  1. Are there live phone or fax lines in the units?
    No, but you may order one or both through Mstar.

  1. Are there shared rooms?
    There are no shared rooms at Alpine Village; each condo has four private bedrooms.

  1. How long are the contracts?
    All contracts are for a full year and start August 28, 2008 and go until August 15, 2009.

  1. Can I sell my contract?
    If you are not planning on staying for the full year you may sell your contract. You will be responsible for selling your contract, but if you let our management know you are selling we will do our best to assist you. You can also post a listing on the BYU off-campus housing homepage to help sell your contract.

  1. Can I live here if I don’t attend BYU?
    As part of our housing agreement with BYU, only BYU students will be allowed to live at Alpine Village. For details, please read our contract available in the Apply Now portion of this website.

  1. Are there freshman?
    There will be a very limited number of freshman for the 2008-2009 school year.

  1. How old are most of the people living at Alpine?
    The ages of the tenants are pretty well mixed, but most of the people living here are upperclassmen.

  1. Is it furnished?
    The condos come fully furnished. The living rooms have a leather sofa and love seat, a dining room table with four chairs, and a flat screen TV. The kitchen includes all appliances such as the fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and dishwasher. Each bedroom has an extended twin size bed, dresser, desk, chair, and bookshelf. There is also a washer and dryer in each unit.

  1. How much does it cost to cancel my contract?
    As part of BYU’s housing agreement, there is a $50 cancellation fee for anyone who decides to cancel their contract before 90 days of the actual start date of the contract, which is August 28, 2008. This fee will come out of your $350 deposit which is paid upon the initial signing of a contract.

  1. Is parking available? Is there an extra cost for parking?
    There is plenty of parking available for all of the residents. When you move in you will receive a parking sticker which will allow you to park in the underground parking at the complex.

  1. Are there bike racks?
    Yes, we will have bike racks in the underground parking area.

  1. Can I choose who I want to live with?
    Placement is made on a first come first serve basis. The sooner you sign a contract, the more likely you will be able to live with your friends or on a specific floor that you request. We will do our best to make sure that everyone has at least their first request fulfilled. To make a request, please visit alpinemanager.com.

  1. What if I’m leaving on a mission? What if I get married? What if I graduate?
    If you fall under any of these categories and the contract period has not ended, you will have to sell the rest of your contract. However, if you graduate there is a grace period that will allow you to live at Alpine Village for four months before having to sell your contract

  1. Can married couples live at Alpine Village?
    We only provide housing for single BYU students.

  1. When is the office open?
    Our office hours are Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

  1. Where is the office?
    Our office is located at 1378 N Freedom Blvd., right in the entrance in the middle of the development.

  1. Are the TV’s included in the condos?
    Yes! Each condo comes with its own flat screen TV which is mounted on the wall of each living room.

  1. Is there wireless Internet?
    Each of the units are hard wired with high-speed Internet (15mbps) in all of the bedrooms, as well as the living room. If you would like wireless internet, arrangements can be made to put it in your unit.

  1. Are there elevators?
    Yes, there are elevators in the complex. They are located in the center of each of the buildings.

  1. When can I move in?
    You can move in August 28, 2008.

  1. Can I move in early?
    If you need to move in earlier than August 28, 2008, please send an e-mail to placement@alpinemanager.com with “Early Move In” in the subject line and a message detailing your desired move in date. We will do our best to accommodate you.

    Are there any extra fees with early move in?

    Yes, there is a $35 early move-in fee. Rent and utilities are also pro-rated from the time you move in until the official contract date begins. These fees must be paid before you can move in and obtain keys.

    If I move in early, can all of my requests still be met?
    We will do our best but we cannot guarantee your requests. Moving in early limits our ability to accommodate your preferences. We will place you according to availability and then try to work in your preferences such as roommates, floor and preferences.

    Is my early move-in placement permanent?
    Management will do their best to place you early in a unit where you do not have to be moved, however, there is a possibility that you will need to move.

    What if my unit/room has not been cleaned?
    In attempt to accommodate your early move-in request, there may not be time between when the previous roommate moved out to clean your unit. You will need to accept the unit in its present condition at move-in.

    Can I store only my stuff in my room and not be charged?
    No. Even if you are not living here, once you move-in, you will need to pay pro-rated rent and utilities.

    Is there a storage space at Alpine where I can put my belongings until I move in?
    Yes, depending upon availability, we may have some limited storage space for you to place your belongings until your contract begin date. Storage pricing is $30 for any period of time two weeks or less.

  1. How close are you to campus?
    It is a 15 minute walk to the BYU library, which is at the heart of campus.
